Gameplay loop:
In our game, players embark on an engaging gameplay loop centered around potion brewing.
It begins with the main quest, where players are tasked with creating a potion that achieves a specific effect.
As they venture into the world, they seek out unique ingredients, each presenting its own set of challenges that require careful problem-solving and knowledge of brewing techniques.
Once they've gathered the necessary components, players return home to craft their potion and ultimately deliver it to the appropriate NPC, completing the quest and deepening their understanding of the magical world.
Progress:
Our goal was to have a prototype finished by the end of this summer, but as life took an unexpected turn, I have to turn my full attention elsewhere at the moment. Doesn't mean the project is cancelled, just that I don't have as much time for it as I was hoping.
This project was started in January 2026 and was put together to this point in just a few months.
My Personal Work:
I've personally made the majority of all work and systems, though I did get help along the way in terms of assets and mainly sounds / music.
This project has taught me much about Multiplayer and Replication setup, as well as P4V server management.
I've also learned a lot in regards of NPC AI, Procedural Content Generation (PCG) and Gameplay Ability System (GAS)
